Why Screw It Again?

One of the most frustrating experiences in woodworking is figuring out how to to fix a screw hole when it becomes stripped out and will no longer support the fixture, hinge or accent what it was designed to hold. Until now, to fix a stripped screw hole has been challenging as there never was a "one-size-fits-all" solution to the problem until Screw It Again.

Typically the methods that have been offered to fix a stripped screw hole or repair a loose thread have been:
  • a slightly longer or wider-diameter screw
  • fill the hole with small strips of the same type of softwood and add a bit of glue (need to wait a few hours for the glue to dry out)
  • explore wood fillers (though they tend to split the wood) or expoxy or even "Bondo" (doesn't work well with wood that contracts/expands)

Now, with Screw It Again you can save time and a lot of frustration to repair these stripped-holes in any wood substrate:
  • Screw in the Screw-it-Again anchor/fastener
  • Snap to break the anchor to length
  • Use the same screw and you are done
